Pink Spring Cards

This is a card I made for Mother’s Day.  No digi stamp in this one!  But lots of flowers! I used three different Marianne Creatables Flower Dies to cut out these paper flowers.md

I am entering this card in the ‘In the Pink’ Challenge – Floral/Mother’s Day

This card is for my sister-in-law’s birthday.  The image is from Saturated Canary and is coloured with Promarkers.  There’s some more handmade flowers here using a Marianne Creatables Die.  This is an easel-style card, with a pocket for a little tag on the inside.

I am entering this in Saturated Canary challenge #39 and the I Love Promarkers Challenge – Ribbons & Bows.

eBook card

My friend Carmel just published her first eBook.  Click on the picture to buy it on Amazon for your Kindle.  It’s a great read and it’s only €2.99!

I made this card for her to celebrate!  The image is a freebie from Mo Manning and I have entered it in her Facebook caption competition.

I am also entering this card in the Passion for Promarkers Challenge – ‘Shaped Card‘.

This next card is for Sassy Cheryl’s challenge – Favourite Colour Combo.  My favourite colour is PURPLE and I love to combine it with silver.

Pretty Papers

I have two birthday cards here for a little girl called Emer.  This first one is an easel card and it has an image from Sassy Cheryl, coloured with Promarkers.  I had these papers in my stash for a few months and didn’t want to use them because they were too nice!  But Jackie set the challenge for Cheryl as ‘Pretty Papers’ so I had to use them up.  🙂  I’ve embellished the image with the usual glossy accents and stickles, and added some card candi (dots!) on the base of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sassy Cheryl’s challenge – Pretty Papers
I Love Promarkers – Dots and Stripes

This next card has a freebie image from Saturated Canary, coloured with Promarkers.  The backing paper is a digi I bought from Creative Qube on etsy.  I cut the letters with my Cricut but they didn’t come out properly and I didn’t have time to change them :-/  Again, I’ve added some glossy accents and stickles to the image, and a little butterfly and ladybird to add to the ‘outdoor’ theme.  I also punched a heart border using an X-cut punch.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Saturated Canary challenge 23 – Great Outdoors

Creative Inspirations – In the Garden

Dream Valley Challenges – Die Cuts & Punches

Hugs & Kisses

I was asked to make a birthday card for my neighbour Aoibhe (Irish for Ava) who turned 5 during the week.  This image by Mo Manning reminded me of her!  She is coloured with Promarkers.

I also want to share a card I made today at Jackie Mooney’s Workshop.  It’s a never-ending folding card.  Good fun to make and play with!

Gorjuss Mother’s Day Card

I finally gave in and bought a few rubber stamps.  Things are going well, but I’m still very wary of them!  Digi samping is much easier (when your printer is working, that is….grrrr!)

This is an easel card for Mother’s Day.  It has an stamped Gorjuss image which I coloured with Promarkers.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

I love Promarkers #108 – Anything Goes

Totally Gorjuss #122 – Anything Goes with a Button

Cardmaking Workshop October 2011

Today I attended my first cardmaking workshop by Jackie Mooney. I arrived with myb pathetic little bag of ‘essentials’, only to find that everybody else had brought big suitcases of crafty stuff that was much lovlier than mine. (Many thanks to Babs for letting me rob all her tools n stuff all day!) I went home afterwards and bought promarkers, glossy accents, corner rounders and more on www.cardsnscrapz.ie (they take Laser cards!).
We completed six projects in total, and Jackie provided us all with a kit for each one.

The topper on this card is a butterfly cut from glittery vellum.

Easel card, featuring a stamped image coloured with Promarkers (I'm still learning how to do this!)

The tea set is a stamped and cut image finished with Glossy Accents, and has a 3D flower in the corner.

Trick or Treat Goody Bag

Hallowe'en Goodies!

Easel card finished with stickles glitter.

The background on this card is actually a napkin!

Many curse words could be heard from my corner as I made hundreds of mistakes, but all in all I’m happy with my finished cards. I learned a lot and am looking forward to eventually becoming a pro like the rest! Thanks to Jackie for the opportunity and to my huibby for ‘babysitting’! Thanks also to Isobel for organising the card kit swap (even though I forgot to bring mine, D’Oh!) and breast cancer raffle and fab Christmas booby prize.
