Black & White card

This black & white card has an image from Sassy Cheryl, coloured with Promarkers (Cool Grey 1,3,4&5) and finished with glossy accents on the raindrops and puddles and stickles glitter (crystal) on the hat.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Sassy Cheryl – No Embossing

Passion for Promarkers – Black & White

Baby Boy Cupcakes

I was invited to the Christening of my friend Una’s baby boy at the weekend.  As a surprise for her, I made some baby boy cupcakes to bring along for the party afterwards.  I bought some handmade gumpaste toppers from Sugar Sweet Delights and made some cupcake wrappers with my Cricut.  They went down a treat!

I also made two cards, one from me and one from my Mam:

I’m showing this to Sassy Cheryl for her ‘Show Me Thursday’.  Hope you like it!

Snooze card

I bought this image in Sassy Cheryl’s 3 for 2 sale without having anything particular in mind for it.

I was asked to make a retirement card for someone and this picture suited it perfectly! It would also be perfect for a Father’s Day card.  I coloured it with promarkers and made the card without using any patterened papers, which is the theme for this week’s challenge over at Sassy Cheryl’s blog.

Challenge #102 – No designer paper

Sweet Valentine Cupcake Box

My friend Sinead (my cupcakes biggest fan) asked me for a twin box of cupcakes for her and her daughter for Valentine’s Day. Here’s what I came up with for her!

I made the box from the Cricut Cartridge ‘Sweet Tooth Boxes’. I used an image from Mami Doodles and embellished the box with embossed die-cut hearts, pink gems and polka dot ribbon. The cupcakes are vanilla, with a banana and strawberry buttercream and lovehearts.

I’m entering this project into the following challenges:

Mami Doodles – Red/Pink/White

Shelly’s Images – Love in Colour

Whimsical Designs – Colours of Love

Cutie Pie Challenge – Anything but a card

I love Promarkers – Love is in the Air

PSHappy Valentine’s Day to those of you who are entering into the spirit of things, and STAMP OUT VALENTINE’S DAY to those who aren’t. 😀

Heart-shaped Easel Card

There’s a love affair going on in my house; it’s between my Cricut and Craft Room. If you use Cricut Craft Room you get the free online-only cartridge ‘Craft Room Basics’. Aswell as a font, it has some plain and scalloped shapes that can be used for many, many projects.

It’s very easy to cut a shaped card using craft room. If anyone would like the CCR files, just drop me a line and I’ll email the ones I’ve made to you.

I used the plain and scalloped heart shape from Craft Room Basics, an image from Mami Doodles, which I coloured with promarkers, and some stickles and other finishing touches.

The promarker colours I used are: Lilac, Lavender, Cool Grey 1, Cool Grey 3 and the Blender pen.

I could spend an eternity holding your hand.

I am entering this card in the following two challenges:

Passion for Promarkers – Week 135 – Grey & Purple

Mami Doodles – Challenge #42 – For a Loved One

Digital Pencil Challenge

My friend Sarah asked me to make a card for her nephew’s Christening.   Mo Manning from Digital Pencil has some gorgeous digis suitable.  I am entering this one in the current Digital Pencil Challenge; Anything Goes.

I got some new storage for all my cardmaking equipment and supplies.  I got an Expedit unit from IKEA.  Hubby put it together and adapted it slightly so I could fit my Cricut in it.  Try as I might, I can’t make it look neat.  It will have to do!

Now I just have to sort out my baking, knitting & crochet supplies, photo albums, etc etc.

I’d love to see other people’s craft areas if you care to share a link!

Sassy Cheryl’s 100th Challenge!

I got loads of feedback from my first entry into Sassy Cheryl’s challenge last week, thanks to everyone for the comments!

The 100th challenge is a biggie, with lots of prizes to be won.  The challenge is to use a punch and something shimmery.  For my entry, I used the image lonely hearts.  Here it is:
